The first transnational meeting of the FLIMCO

Project partners meeting took place in Salerno, Italy on the 3rd and 4th of October, hosted by Essenia UETP.

The topics which were discussed covered the initial phases and activities relating to the project, it’s dissemination, the project management planning, and agreeing future deadlines.

The FLIMCO project is financed by the European Commission through the Erasmus+ program, as part of Key Action 2 – Cooperation for innovation and exchange of good practices, strategic partnerships for adult education.

The project will last for 24 months, from 1st October 2018, to the 30th September 2020.

The project aims to increase the financial literacy of marginalized and disadvantaged groups, with particular attention to women, and to support them in acquiring the skills in financial matters necessary for inclusion in society.

When we speak of “financial literacy” we refer to “a combination of awareness, knowledge, skills, attitude and behaviour necessary to make sound financial decisions and, finally, achieve individual financial well-being”.

The second project meeting will take place in the United Kingdom in April 2019.
